Holy Communion

The Lord provides for our spiritual needs when he invites us to partake of Holy Communion. Our faith in him is strengthened when we share in his body and blood in, with, and under the bread and wine. Therefore, a Christian is eager to attend the Lord's Supper on a regular basis. Our members and those who share a common faith and fellowship with us (WELS or ELS) are invited to commune at our altar.

Our practice of "close communion" is not a lack of love, or judgement on others. Rather it is prompted by love to maintain the Truth of God's Word and done out of love for another's soul salvation in keeping with the Holy Bible. Please consider the following passages: 1 Corinthians 10:16-17; 11:27-29; John 8:31-32; Romans 16:17. Non-members are asked to speak to the pastor before communing. You will usually find him before the service in the church entryway. He always stands ready to speak with everyone who enters into our church. For more information about our communion practices, please check out the free pamphlet in our Tract Rack in the church entryway, which explains more fully our biblical practices concerning the Sacrement of Holy Communion.

The Lord's Supper is celebrated on the first and third Sunday's of the month. During the summer months communion will be celebrated on the first and third Sundays of the month and the Monday services following these Sunday services. The Lord's Supper is also celebrated on a number of special services throughout the year. Please check out the
Weekly Bulletin for these dates and times.
